Blue Bottle

What’s Up with “Blue Bottle”?

Does this bottle look familiar? It is! A “super club” retailer has attempted to have the exclusive rights to sell Beviamo Moscato d’ Asti. Thanks to Georgia’s rules and regulations, this is not possible. In efforts to make both the “super club” and other local retailers happy, the winery has simply packaged the same wine under a new name! We now introduce you to Risato Moscato d’ Asti.
a.k.a. Beviamo
Fresh, fragrant, and frizzante with vibrant, flavors and aromas of ripe stone fruit, tangerines, and honey. The wine is concentrated and flavorful, but not overly rich or heavy; sweet, yet balanced.

What’s in a Rating Anyway?

Receiving the latest issue of a favorite wine publication is something most of us look forward to. Catching up on what’s going on behind the scenes in the wine business gets us excited to try new things. The question is, are we buying what we like or are we buying what they want us to like? So, what is in a rating?
Let’s face it folks, the wine industry is a business and we all respond to marketing. Don’t get us wrong, we get excited about great ratings too. You can’t give a bad rating to a winery that just purchased a full page ad. Even if the wine’s rating is not biased, it is just one person’s opinion. If we all liked the same wine there would only be one wine. For example, one of the top wine advocates in the industry is a fruit cake fanatic, a holiday treat most of us do not enjoy. So, if we don’t agree with his taste in food, chances are we may not enjoy every wine he has given a high score.
Although great ratings are good for business, we encourage you to give us your unbiased opinion on a wine you have purchased. You just may see your review on a shelf talker encouraging others to try something new!
